Privacy notice

Ren Garden is operated by Awlad Hussain, carrying on business as Lifease Studio.

Lifease Studio is the person to contact about privacy, including any access, correction or deletion request.

• Your account — email address, and the display name or profile picture your sign-in provider gives us if you sign in with Google.
• Your subscription status — whether you are on the free or premium plan, when premium access ends, and the customer and subscription identifiers Stripe gives us so we can match a payment to your account.
• Your Techo reminders — the email address you gave for reminders, the practices you scheduled, the days and times you chose, your timezone, and whether you confirmed the address.
• Push notification details — collected only if you turn on push notifications. This is a browser-issued subscription endpoint and its keys, and it is removed when you turn push notifications off.

There is no analytics, no advertising, no tracking pixels, and no profiling. Ren Garden does not sell or rent personal information to anyone.

Ren Garden never sees or stores your card number, expiry date or security code. When you subscribe you are taken to Stripe's own hosted checkout page, where Stripe collects and processes your payment details directly as the payment processor. Ren Garden receives back only the outcome — that a payment succeeded, the plan, the renewal date, and Stripe's customer and subscription identifiers.

Some things never leave your device. Ren Garden uses local storage in your browser for the practices saved to your Techo (ren_techo), your schedule (ren_techo_schedule), the reminder email and confirmation state (ren_techo_email, ren_techo_confirmed), your timezone (ren_techo_timezone), your favourites (ren_favourites), how many practices you have opened on the free plan (ren_practice_views), and which thought card you last saw (ren_thought_seen).

If you sign in, your browser also keeps a session so you stay signed in. Stripe sets its own cookies on Stripe's checkout pages while you are paying.

All of this is either strictly necessary or something you asked for. None of it is used for advertising or cross-site tracking, which is why Ren Garden does not show you a cookie banner. Clearing your browser data removes the items above.

• Lovable Cloud, running on Supabase infrastructure — hosting, database and sign-in.
• Resend — delivery of confirmation and reminder emails.
• Stripe — payment processing and subscription billing.

These providers act on Ren Garden's instructions for the purposes above. Some of them store or process information outside Canada, which means it may be subject to the laws of the country where it is held.

Mori's reminders are sent only for the practices you scheduled, at the times you chose. You confirm your address before anything is sent, and every reminder carries a link to stop reminders — for one practice or for all of them. You can also unsubscribe any time at the unsubscribe page.

Your account and reminder information is kept while your account is active, and deleted when you ask for it to be deleted. Unsubscribing marks your reminders inactive so nothing further is sent.

Certain transaction, accounting or legal records held by Lifease Studio may be retained for applicable legal and business requirements. Stripe separately retains payment-related information under its own policies.

Write to lifease.studio@gmail.com from the address on your account and you can ask for a copy of what Ren Garden holds about you, a correction to anything inaccurate, or deletion of your account, your reminders and your push subscription. Requests are handled by hand, and normally answered within thirty days. If a subscription is active, cancel it first or say in your message that you would like it cancelled.

If you are not satisfied with how a request was handled, you may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

Access to your data is restricted to your own account by database-level access rules. Payments are handled entirely by Stripe, and payment notifications from Stripe are verified before they are accepted. No online service can promise perfect security, but the amount of information held here is deliberately small.

Ren Garden is intended for adults and is not directed at children under 13. Please do not create an account or subscribe to reminders if you are under 13.

If this notice changes, the date at the top changes with it. Material changes affecting reminders or subscriptions will be mentioned by email.
